Advertising on Somewhere works differently than on any other platform. Imagine you represent a business chain with hundreds or thousands of locations. Perhaps a restaurant chain like Chipotle, an entertainment venue like Top Golf, or a clothing store like Forever 21. In traditional forms of advertising, you’re only making people aware of your brand and perhaps offering an incentive for them to patronize your locations, such as a discount or special offer. But will they actually come to your location, much less buy anything?
With Somewhere, sponsors can target people who are already motivated to get out of their house and go somewhere and who have already specified that they’re willing to spend money along the way for food, shopping, or entertainment. We will make it easy to start routing seekers (Somewhere users) to as many of your locations as you wish.
Seekers will be able to see when a location is sponsored, but they also earn more Karma (in-app points) for visiting sponsored locations.
